The Endocannabinoid System
What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS) and how does it affect your health? This video will explain why deficiencies in the ECS can cause various medical conditions and how CBD can help supplement those deficiencies.
Frequently Asked Questions
CBD (or Cannabidiol) belongs to a family of naturally occurring phytochemicals known as cannabinoids. Phytocannabinoids are those cannabinoids that are produced in plants, whereas endocannabinoids are those that are endogenous to the human body. At the molecular level, they are identical and yield the same effects.
CBD works by binding to cannabinoid receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system. These receptors have been found in virtually every cell and tissue type in the human body, and because many ailments and chronic conditions are caused by deficiencies in the endocannabinoid system, the human body is able to accept phytocannabinoids to supplement endocannabinoid deficiencies. Essentially, CBD brings balance back to your endocan nabinoid system and relieves many related ailments and chronic conditions.
Similar to many of our agricultural commodities, the Cannabis Sativa plant has been refined over thousands of years through artificial selection. Generations of human influence has optimized its efficacy on human health.
It should be noted that CBD is a non-toxic, non-euphoric substance. It does not have an intoxicating effect on humans like THC does. In fact, the World Health Organization has published multiple reports that claim CBD is safe to use and is non-habit forming.
Our products are made with CBD sourced from hemp grown and extracted under the strict guidelines of the Kentucky Department of Agricultural Industrial Hemp Pilot Program. It is compliant with Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill, which means harvesting and distributing is legal at the federal level.
None of our products contain any amount of THC. Third-party test results for THC and CBD are available upon request. Please contact info@NuCeutra.com for more information.
No. CBD is non-intoxicating and our products never contain any amount of THC.
According to the World Health Organization, CBD has an estimated 6% bioavailability due to poor aqueous solubility. This means for every 100mg used, the body only absorbs 6mg; a common problem with all oil-based medications and prescription drugs. Water-soluble delivery mechanisms are optimized for absorption and yield much better results for the user.
Every product we produce utilizes a patented water-soluble delivery mechanism which significantly outperforms oil-based CBD. In comparing other water-soluble CBD products, there are three technologies to consider:
Liposomes are spherical structures with one or more concentric phospholipid bilayers capable of entrapping lipophilic active ingredients like CBD in its bilayer membrane. Typical particle size ranges from 50nm to 5,000nm.
Nano-emulsions use significantly less surfactants compared to liposomes and have an improved optical clarity, lower viscosity, and improved stability. Particle size typically range from 20nm to 1,000nm
Nano-encapsulation is the latest nanotech in pharmacology and NuCeutra is the trailblazer. The active ingredient (e.g. CBD) is encapsulated with a naturally produce starch which is capable of achieving everything the liposomal and nano-emulsion technologies can, and more. The particle size of our technology is 0.1nm.
Beyond just the ability to produce an optimized water-soluble delivery mechanism for CBD, our technology is capable of being flavorless, odorless, and time-released for quicker onset and extended release, which no other brand is capable of. NuCeutra is simply far ahead of the competition.
Yes. CBD has the potential to inhibit some cytochrome P450 enzymes, which is involved in metabolizing many medications and prescription drugs. Grapefruit, for example, exhibits similar inhibitions of the same enzyme group, which is why physicians advise patients not to eat grapefruit shortly before or after taking medications. The inhibition of cytochrome P450 may reduce or increase the effects of other medications. It's not yet clear whether these effects occur at physiological concentrations. To avoid the interaction of CBD with your other medications, simply take CBD at different times of the day than your other medications.
Extensive studies show that CBD is a non-intoxicating, non-euphoric substance with no evidence of being habit forming. The vast majority of users report no negative side effects to using CBD, but some have reported changes in appetite, dizziness, and diarrhea. Stop taking if you exhibit any negatives side effects and consult with your doctor.
Yes. We only use naturally derived hemp CBD in our products.
Each batch of CBD that we receive from our suppliers is tested for its THC and CBD content, as well as residual solvents and heavy metals. We then test our final products periodically for quality and consistency. To receive a copy of our comprehensive testing report, please contact us at info@NuCeutra.com
Due to strict federal regulations, we are unable to make claims about whether or not our products can help with specific conditions. However, we urge you to do your own research and see for yourself how CBD has helped countless others.
It widely depends from person to person. Relief may be noticed immediately, but some chronic conditions may take up to a week or more before relief is noticed. For chronic conditions, take CBD daily and as necessary.
Each of our product comes with a 30-day money back guarantee for first-time buyers. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase in the first 30 days after ordering, we will be glad to issue a refund. Click here to learn more
Although CBD is known to be just as helpful for many animals is it is for humans, our products are specifically designed for humans and may not be suitable for many animals.
Our products can be shipped to all 50 states, risk free.
Pills and topicals can be stored in room temperature. Droppers may also be stored at room temperature, but are best stored in cool, dark, and dry places (e.g. refrigerator).
Topical creams may last over 24 months while ingestible products like the droppers and pills have a shelf life of 18 months when stored properly.
That depends on the testing standards of the authority issuing the drug test. Most companies only search for the THC. While our products contain no THC, there are some testing facilities that check for a spectrum of cannabinoids and could trigger a positive drug test for CBD. By law, you are allowed to ask the facility what cannabinoids they are testing for.
Marijuana and hemp are two different varieties of the same species of plant (Cannabis sativa L). Any cannabis plant containing more than 0.3% THC is considered to be a “marijuana” plant and is regulated by the DEA. CBD can be found in both varieties, but the hemp plant generally contains higher quantities of CBD which reduces the cost of manufacturing. Most CBD products use hemp derived CBD for these legal and cost reasons.
Full-spectrum products can be described as having whole-plant extracts as its source of CBD, as well as other cannabinoids and phytonutrients. The array of different phytochemicals work synergistically to improve efficacy – a phenomenon known as the “entourage effect.” The downside to full-spectrum is that it’s very difficult to control consistency and limit the THC content to the legal limit of 0.3% or less. Broad-spectrum is a way of manipulating the precise formulation of cannabinoids and phytonutrients to target very specific applications and maintain product consistency. However, keep in mind that full-spectrum products will always contain more cannabinoids and phytonutrients than broad-spectrum.
